In 2022, artists Megan Clark-Bagnall and Claudia Collins embarked on a community listening project exploring the epic Christmas lights that their neighbours in Knowle West adorn their homes with each year.

 

In 2023, the work was developed into a theatrical bus tour called NOEL WEST.

This sell-out 5-star show started at Tobacco Factory Theatres and flew audiences around the streets of NOEL WEST, Bristol's best-kept festive secret.

Meg, Claud, and some of their Knowle West neighbours have now registered LIGHTS! LIGHTS! LIGHTS! as a CIC (Community Interest Company) and are working on a national touring follow-up show called JOY RIDE.

 

Joy Ride will be previewed at Tobacco Factory theatres in April 2026, before embarking on a winter tour in 2026/27
